Timebomb Duels S Tier Techniques

Shift Lock Strafing

Shift lock strafing is the single most important technique. Enable shift lock in Roblox settings, press Shift in-game, and strafe sideways while facing the bomb holder. Diagonal movement opens escape angles straight-line runners cannot access. Without shift lock, you run forward-only and must stop to look behind you — an easy tag target.

At competitive levels roughly 95% of skilled players use shift lock. It amplifies every other technique on this list. If you only learn one skill, learn this.

3-Second Bomb Pass

When holding the bomb, pick it up or receive it around the 3-second mark on the timer, then pass back to your opponent at roughly 1 second remaining. The receiver has almost no time to offload before explosion. This timing pass punishes greedy chasers and wins close duels.

Requires reading timer UI and confidence under pressure. Pair with corner passing on tight maps for blind-angle final passes.

Ankle Breaking

Chain three to five rapid direction changes in under two seconds while evading. The bomb holder commits to your fake direction and whiffs the tag. Works best in open areas with space to pivot. Combine with shift lock for the gold standard evasion pattern top players use every round.

Practice Priority

Week one: shift lock only. Week two: add ankle breaking in Free-for-All. Week three: integrate 3-second passes when you hold the bomb. S tier mastery alone lifts you above average lobbies.
