What Shift Lock Does

Shift lock locks your camera behind your character while your character faces your cursor direction. In Timebomb Duels, this enables sideways strafing, diagonal running, and watching the bomb holder while moving away — impossible with default forward-only running.

Roughly 95% of experienced players use shift lock. It is S-tier foundational tech on our tier list. Every evasion technique — ankle breaking, juking, circular movement — becomes more effective with shift lock active.

How to Enable Shift Lock

Step 1: Join any Roblox game or open the Roblox app settings. Step 2: Open Settings (gear icon or Esc menu). Step 3: Find Shift Lock Switch and set to On. Step 4: Set Camera Mode to Default (Follow) or Classic if shift lock fails. Step 5: Set Movement Mode to Mouse + Keyboard on PC.

In gameplay, press Shift to toggle shift lock. Practice toggling quickly — some situations benefit from brief free camera before re-engaging shift lock for chases.

Troubleshooting

If shift lock says Set by Developer, the game disabled it — Timebomb Duels allows shift lock. Switch Camera Mode between Follow and Classic. Ensure Mouse + Keyboard movement mode. Some games override settings; re-check after patches.
