Timebomb Duels Terminology

Game terminology on this wiki remains in English across all language versions for competitive consistency. Terms match community and pro player usage as of Alpha June 2026.

Shift Lock / Shift Lock Strafing

Roblox camera mode locking the view behind your character while facing the cursor. Enables sideways strafing and diagonal movement essential for competitive play.

3-Second Pass / 3-Second Trick

Offensive timing technique: receive or hold the bomb around 3 seconds on the timer, pass at ~1 second so the receiver cannot offload before explosion.

Ankle Breaking

Rapid chained direction changes (3–5 in under 2 seconds) causing the bomb holder to miss tags.

Juking

Sharp lateral fake — run one direction, cut 90° opposite to create separation from chasers.

360 Spin

Rapid full camera rotation shifting hitbox during contact window; follow with direction change for escape.

Wall Hop / Wall-Hopping

Jump into wall, jump again on contact for extra height; map-dependent vertical escape.

Corner Passing

Passing the bomb around walls and tight angles using map geometry for blind-angle tags.

Circular Movement

Running large arcs around the arena in 1v1 to maintain distance while timer drains.

Chokepoint

Narrow map passage limiting escape routes; high tag frequency zone.

Bomb Holder

Player currently holding the ticking bomb who must tag another player to pass it.

Alpha / Beta

Development stages; Alpha is current with stat wipes. Beta planned 2026 with shop, ranked, and inventory.

Network Ping

Latency in milliseconds affecting tag registration; displayed via Roblox Performance Stats.
